Mission
My mission is to motivate and inspire others to reach and exceed the attainable goals in their sport. To remind athletes that true motivation & drive comes from inside yourself. That you can look at a challenge and smile. I want to help you improve, whether that’s from going from the bench to a starter, high school athlete to collegiate athlete, or even collegiate to professional.
Purpose
Underdog Performance’s purpose is to instill great character, integrity, and personality into each client. That anything is possible with hard work and dedication, day in and day out.
why “underdog” performance?
Born and raised in Minnesota. i’ve always had a passion for any and all sports. Growing up, I think i was involved in at least two sports/activities all year round. Football, wrestling, baseball, basketball, track & field, even skateboarding was a thing for me back then. Looking ahead to today, I still find joy in every sport, even if it’s just watching them.
From being a varsity athlete in High school, to competing at the collegiate level (go auggies), to training for the nfl regional combine, i’ve learned a lot while undergoing the process of a hopeful professional athlete. i also learned that i love what goes into it all. i fell in love with the process of developing my body and working hard for what i want.
There was a day that i learned that i was no longer a starting runningback, in fact, i was listed 3rd on the depth chart. i still remember like yesterday the fire that lit up from underneath me and fueled my work ethic all off-season. i wasn’t always an underdog, but from that moment on, i had the mindset of an underdog because i was going to prove every single person that doubted me wrong.
having that mindset ultimately helped me in the end because i attained all of my goals plus more.
i could have started pointing fingers, blaming people, and make up all the excuses as to why i was in the situation i was in. but i decided to take the challenge head on, working on my craft every single day until I became the athlete i wanted to be.
i believe that every one of us has that same desire to improve, that fire.
what’s your spark?
